Govt. of India has approved 200 bedded district/referral hospital for establishment new Medical college vide letter No. U.12012/46/2011- MEP-II Dated 19/ 02/ 2014 under centrally sponsored scheme. The approved amount is Rs. 189.00 crore and fund pattern is 90:10.
For establishment of Dhubri Medical College 55 Bigha of Land is available.
Another 45 bigha of land required for acquisition for establishment of Medical College. Accordingly, DC North Lakhimpur as per requirement measuring 45 bighas of Land have been identified and the possession of land measuring total 45 bighas has been handed over to the Director of Medical Education, Assam on 5th August, 2016 for providing accommodation of Doctors, Medical students, Nurses & other Para Medical Staff necessary in connection with the establishment of new Medical Colleges at Lakhimpur District.
A proposal for Acquisition of land measuring 45 B- 01 K-10L under Land Acquisition Act 1964, DC North lakhimpur has submitted a proposal of L.A estimate fund an amounting to Rs.784.93 lakh. Accordingly, this said amount has already been released by GOA on 28th March, 2017 for payment of compensation of land for construction work of Lakhimpur Medical College.
Govt. of India has released an amount of Rs 27.00 crores for estt. of new Medical colleges (during 2015-16 Rs 7.00 cro. And Rs. 20.00 cro during 2016-17.
Chief Engineer (B) has submitted a proposal and inform that out of the A/A amount of Rs 189.00 crores Rs. 139.00 crores for civil works and Ts. Rs.50.00 cr. for Equipment. The fund allotted for civil works is not adequate to complete the infrastructure work fulfilling all requirement as per MCI guidelines. The detail estimate to be Rs.315.71 crore as submitted by the consultant M/S Bhargave & Associates.

New Medical College at Dhubri

For establishment of Dhubri Medical College 48 Bigha of Land is available.
Another 60 bigha of land required for acquisition Accordingly, DC Dhubri as per requirement measuring 60 bighas of Land have been identified and process for requisition of the aforesaide patta have been completed along with taking over procession of the requisitioned land from the concerned land owners as per provisition of the said Act.
As per Revenue deptt’s the land in question which is already under Health Deptt. (Dhubri Civil Hospital) no further orders is required to be issued from Revenue Deptt.. Health deptt can issue the Notification as the land is already with the Health deptt.
Originally, estimated amount for Land Acquisition was Rs.4,93,41,446.00 and fund released to DC Dhubri Rs.4,60,00,000.00.
As per land acquisition Act 1964 DC Dhubri has submitted a proposal the balance L.A estimate fund an amounting to Rs. 20,48,80,132/-. Accordingly, this said amount has already been released by GOA on 28th March, 2017 for payment of compensation of land for construction work of Dhubri Medical College.

Govt. of India has approved 200 bedded district /referral hospital for establishment new Medical college vide letter No. U.12012/46/2011- MEP-II Dated 19/ 02/ 2014 under centrally sponsored scheme. The approved amount is Rs. 189.00 crore and fund pattern is 90:10.
Construction work of AHMC&RI, Diphu has already been started since 2012 at an estimated cost of Rs.193.00 crores under State Plan .
Revised A/A amounting to Rs. 245.50 crores has been issued by GOA. . Out of Rs. 245.50 crores Rs. 170.10 crores is central share and balance amount of Rs. 75.40 crores is state share including state liability.
Fund released till March , 2017 Rs. 96.51 Cr. including Central share Rs. 4.00 cro and Rs. 92.51 Cr. State share .
