15 Nos. of candidates are selected every year (for RIPANS) & 4 Nos. of candidates are selected very year (for RIPSAT) for admission into Bachelor Degree in different paramedical courses against the state quota seats. This is done by one Committee constituted by Govt. of Assam with Director of Medical Education, Assam as the Chairman of the Committee.
1 | Compulsory Rural Posting after completion of MBBS course. | After completion of MBBS course all the candidates have to do one year compulsory rural service or 5(five) years of state health service. |
2 | Resident Specialist Services by the Post PG Diploma/Degree candidates | All the PG degree/diploma candidates in Assam medical colleges after completion of their course shall work in Secondary and Tertiary care government hospitals of Assam for a period of one year. |
There is a committee formed by the State Govt. for scrutinization of the application forms and after scrutinization the application forms are forwarded to Govt.
The applicant has to furnish the application along with required documents to the Director of Medical Education. After scrutiny by the office of DME, the same are forwarded to the government.
